Upgrade now. Pay over time.

Enbridge Sustain offers lease-to-own for home-energy equipment. Its published offering includes standard installation with no upfront payment and ongoing monthly payments.

Enbridge Sustain provides heating, cooling and hot-water solutions for homes, with lease-to-own and full-purchase options. It is an unregulated company distinct from Enbridge Gas Inc. Rebate and assistance programs have their own eligibility and application rules.

The standard lease-to-own term is typically 15 years. Standard installation is included without an upfront charge, and monthly payments cover annual maintenance, repairs and warranty protection. Sustain owns the equipment during the term; ownership transfers at the end, with early buyout available. Your signed agreement controls individual pricing, coverage and transfer conditions.

Compare a written proposal with the same project paid for by cash or a loan. Keep service coverage and ownership alongside the cost comparison.

Before you decide

  1. Match the equipment and installation scope.
  2. Record every payment and any introductory period.
  3. Check maintenance and repair coverage.
  4. Read ownership, buyout and moving terms.
  5. Verify rebate compatibility with the administrator.

Questions that deserve clear answers.

Is Enbridge Sustain a government rebate?

No. Enbridge Sustain provides heating, cooling and hot-water solutions for homes, with lease-to-own and full-purchase options. It is an unregulated company distinct from Enbridge Gas Inc. Rebate and assistance programs have their own eligibility and application rules.

Who owns the equipment during the agreement?

Enbridge Sustain owns the equipment during the term. Ownership transfers at the end, and early buyout is available. Your actual agreement sets the individual transfer and buyout conditions.

How long is the agreement?

Sustain describes a standard term typically lasting 15 years. Use the term and payment schedule in your actual quote when comparing costs.

What does zero upfront mean?

Standard installation is included in the lease-to-own agreement without an upfront charge. Monthly payments still apply and cover annual maintenance, repairs and warranty protection. It does not mean free equipment or guaranteed energy savings.

Can I buy the equipment instead?

Yes. Enbridge Sustain also offers full purchase. Compare an itemized purchase quote with the full lease payment schedule and included service.

Can I combine a rebate with lease-to-own?

Check the rebate rules for your exact equipment and ownership arrangement before including a rebate in the cost calculation. Sustain cashback cannot be combined with another Sustain promotion. Government rebates have separate rules.

What should I ask about moving?

Request the provider’s written transfer requirements and a dated early-buyout figure if you want to compare that option.
